According to the American Bar Association Report from the National Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being: “To be a good lawyer, one has to be a healthy lawyer.” The ABA’s recommendations include “emphasizing that well-being is an indispensable part of a lawyer’s duty of competence.” The ABA report bases its definition of well-being on positive psychology and embraces the research for its recommendations.
